I’m Sofia Schleutker, a Visual Communication Designer based in Helsinki, Finland. I graduated from Aalto University (MA, Visual Communication Design) in 2022, and have earlier studied at Novia UAS (Jakobstad) and BTK - Hochschule für Gestaltung in Berlin.

As a designer I put attention to details and I try to find the perfect amount of perfectionism for each project. I’m always keen on learning new techniques and software. I would like to find new ways to work with text and typography, and I can’t deny I have a love for grids in layouts. I appreciate a multidisciplinary approach to design, and I get excited of my newfound passion for incorporating microbiology in my work. I’m a very versatile designer thanks to many years of experience in different workplaces, as an in-house graphic designer, as a freelancer, and in advertising agencies.

Besides visual communication design, I have experience in planning and organizing events, working in a lab environment, photographing and video editing, painting, and ceramics. On my free time I enjoy climbing (both bouldering and rope climbing), yoga, and food in all forms (cooking and eating).
